Strata Safety Products Chambers Pass All Evaluations

In late 2007, NIOSH performed survivability evaluations on all Refuge Chambers originally approved by the State of West Virginia . Strata Safety’s chambers successfully passed all evaluations and met all requirements. The Chambers were to meet four main criteria: Carbon Dioxide Scrubbing, Oxygen Supply, Apparent Temperature and Duration of Operation. Strata Safety Products Emergency Refuge Chambers are Going Underground into
U.S. Coal Mines

January 2008, Strata Safety Products, LLC announces the commencement of delivery on their Emergency Refuge Chambers. Steel Walk-In Chambers and Portable, Inflatable Chambers are being delivered to customers nationwide. These chambers are Strata Safety’s solution to meeting the new State and Federal requirements of providing 96 hours of breathable air to miners trapped underground. Strata Mine Services Plug Seals gets approval

Strata Mine Services Inc. received MSHA approval on their 120 psi Plug Seal. This seal a cementitious-based material plug seal designed for areas that are not expected to encounter significant ground convergence. The seal design is certified by a Registered Professional Engineer.
