1. Personal Information We Collect and How it is Used
The following Personal Information may be collected and stored by the Site and used by Strata.
a. Name, Addresses, etc (PII)
While accessing the Content and interact with the Site, you may be asked to voluntarily provide your name, address, phone number and contact information. Such information shall be used by Strata to communication with you and send you materials.
b. Network Address (PII)
Each time you access the Site, the Site will record the network address of your computer (“Network Address”). Although this address is used to identify your computer, it may or may not be a unique address. For example, in some cases, your computer will have a unique Network Address, while in other cases, the public transmission to/from the Internet will be completed using a shared Network Address that is common to all users on a particular portion of the Internet. This later approach saves address by allowing routers to use a single public Network Address, then translate the shared public Network Address into unique private address behind the gateway router. Network Address may be traceable only to your Internet access service provider or all the way to your own location.
c. Author of Content (PII)
When you edit any Content or send any information to the Site, you will be identified as the contributor of such Content and/or information by the Network Address of your computer. Such address may be traceable only to your Internet access service provider or all the way to your own location.
d. Site Logging (PII)
Every time you visit a page of the Site, a small amount of information if recorded on your actual activities such as which page is viewed. This information is used to form an overall statistical picture of the Site such as popular Content, other Internet sites linked to and the types of web browsers being used to access the Site. These logs may also be used to solve technical problems and to investigate abuse of the Site, vandalism, harassment or other violation of the Terms.
e. Email Address (PII)
While interacting with the Site, you may be asked to voluntarily provide your email address. Your email address will be used for account administration such as communications with Strata and being added to Site mailing lists. We may send occasional emails to persons who have provided their email address information, as a means of keeping our visitors up to date with Site services and promotions. Some email addresses may also be forwarded to third parties for authorized purposes such as technical support. Also, at any time you can remove your email address from your Site preferences and/or “opt-out” of receiving such emails, without penalty, as described in the “Opt In and Opt Out” section below. Email information is viewable only by top administrators.
f. Emails and Other Communications (PII)
When you send the Site emails, bulletin board service, blogs, letters, faxes or other communications, we will retain and store such communications in order to keep a reliable record and validate the information. This also includes any voice recordings we may make of phone conversations we may have with you.
2. Non-Personal Information We Collect and How it is Used
The information collected by Cookies and/or Web Beacons (i) helps us dynamically adapt Content on the Site or in newsletters, (ii) allows us to statistically monitor how many people are using our Site and the sites of selected sponsors' and advertisers', (iii) how many people open our emails and (iv) for what purposes certain actions are being taken. We may also use Cookie and/or Web Beacon information to target certain Content to you or to determine the popularity of certain Content. Cookies are also used to facilitate a user's log-in, as navigation aides and as session timers.
By themselves, Cookies cannot be used to determine the identity of any visitor to the Site. Therefore, unless a visitor explicitly provides identifying information, the Site will not know the identity of any of our visitors.
