Gunite Seal Application Services
Strata Mine Services provides the materials, labor and expertise for
the application of gunite in a wide range of underground and surface mining
applications. Gunite is a high strength, cementitious liner that supplies
structural support in excavations and construction areas. It provides excellent
protection against rock weathering in severe conditions and fire proofing.
Gunite is a dry cement mix sprayed at high pressure though a nozzle. Water is added to the mix at the nozzle in proportions controlled by the operator. These ratios of dry mix to water are very significant to the performance of the gunite. Therefore, a well trained, experienced operator is imperative to the success of the project.
Gunite is applied using application pumps which are either electric and
air powered or all air powered systems. Our services are full or partial
turnkey operations. In addition, Strata Mine Services offers equipment
and personnel to perform rehabilitation and site preparation work, including
scaling, bolting and cleaning, prior to gunite application .
