Strata Mine Services is the primary installer of the Precision Mine Repair Seal Systems. These seals are MSHA approved to withstand dynamic loads of 50 psi and 120 psi.

Rugged & Airtight

Precision Seals are installed by drilling and anchoring #9, #8 and #5 rebar into the roof and floor of the mine. The rebar is wired into a 3-D welded wire mesh to form a strong rib system. The entire unit is coated with a high-pressure, high-strength shotcrete/Gunite application. The shotcrete is required to have a compressive strength of no less than 4,500 psi after 3 days of curing. Shotcrete is applied to overlap the roof, ribs and floor, producing a rugged, airtight area.
