Hercules Mat® Cribbing System
The Hercules Mat Cribbing System is designed to provide high-capacity
roof support for underground mining operations. The interlocking configurations
of the Hercules Mat can be adjusted to support loads from 100 tons to over
2,000 tons. These roof support capacity can be enhanced by using specific
timber species. Units are used in mine roof heights varying from 3 feet
to 16 feet.
Maximum Support Strength
The Hercules Mat Cribbing System utilizes the strength properties of timber that run parallel and perpendicular to the grain, resulting in maximum support strength. Our computer programs are able to predict the support capacity of each design. This results in the most effective way to generate high-capacity support with high initial stiffness as well as long-term yields and stability. Units can be pre-stressed with the PACKSETTER™ Pre-Stressing System that pre-loads the unit on installation.
Ships Pre-Assembled from the Factory
Units are pre-assembled at our factory and packaged in a mat form for easy transport, handling and installation. Bundle sizes are calculated to maximize the number of units transported based on each customer’s mine equipment carrying capacity.
