Propsetter™ Yieldable Roof Support System
The Propsetter Yieldable Roof Support System is designed to enhance mine
safety by replacing four-point cribs and other conventional supports
in mine ceiling heights up to ten feet. The Propsetter System is a timber
support prop that yields in a controlled manner through eight to ten
inches of deflection.
Applications for the Propsetter System include:
- Headgate, tailgate and bleeder support
- Cross cut and intersection stabilization
- Supplementary support
- Longwall shield recovery
- Breaker line support for pillar extraction
- Belt line rehabilitation and support
Supports over 50 Ton Loads
The standard diameter Propsetter is capable of supporting over 50 ton loads at two inches of deflection. The large diameter Propsetter is capable of supporting over 65 ton loads at two inches of deflection.
Easy to Install
The Propsetter System is easy to install. Up to 150 units have been installed in a single shift. The Propsetter can be used with our PACKSETTER™ Pre-Stressing Devices or with wedges.
When the Propsetter System is used to replace four-point cribs, 72% less material is handled. The Propsetter System reduces ventilation resistance by 76% compared to a four-point crib.
