Sales Representative - Natural Gas

Strata has recently launched a completely wireless, battery powered toxic and combustible gas detection system developed specifically for shale gas drilling rigs. Strata’s RigGuard™ gas detectors magnetically mount directly onto gas rigs and continuously monitor methane (CH4), hydrogen sulfide (H2S), oxygen (O2) and carbon monoxide (CO) levels. The incumbent will act as the primary point of contact for customers in the Marcellus Shale Play establishing close working relationships with representatives of natural gas production companies selling Strata’s RigGuard™ product, and other products in development, to the natural gas industry.
Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Sales of RigGuard™ product, and other products in development, to natural gas industry.
  • Offers informed decision making and technical assistance with our products and service offerings.
  • Individually or jointly with product and/or other sales representatives makes product or services presentations to potential customers.
  • Prepares and/or delivers quotes for products and services to potential customers.
  • Provides product training to customers and gas production personnel.
  • Provides ongoing technical service to customers on products or services.
  • Maintains primary contact with customer to assure satisfaction with product or services.
  • Ensures all support services outlined in customer contracts are provided to ensure customer expectations are met.
  • Performs other functions and duties as needed and/or as assigned.
Qualifications:

A. Education and/or Experience

  • Five to ten years operating experience in natural gas production.
  • Proven sales experience in natural gas production industry desirable.
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

B. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Must have in-depth knowledge of natural gas production industry.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills. 
  • Must have strong analytical skills.
  • Must possess excellent planning and organizational skills, as well as attention to detail.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Must be able to multi-task and function effectively in a sometimes stressful, dynamic environment.
Locations: 
Ideal candidate will reside in assigned area.
Travel Requirements: 
Heavy daily travel will be required within assigned area. Trips may require overnight stay away from home for one or more nights.
Physicial Demands: 
This position requires the ability to perform general physical exertions, including walking, standing, stooping, climbing, and lifting materials or equipment.
Work Environment: 
Typically natural gas drilling pads and production facilities.

RMA Coordinator

Strata headquarters are located in Atlanta, GA with engineering, service, and sales support facilities throughout the United States. We have offices located around the world to provide customers with local representation and support in the mining regions of Europe, Australia and South Africa. The RMA Coordinator is responsible for working closely with the Strata team, customers, and third party repair organizations coordinating the flow of returned parts administratively through the entire RMA Process.
Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Coordinates flow of returned parts administratively through the entire RMA Process.
  • Physically supports part location changes.
  • Logs details associated with each RMA in relation, but not limited to, customer, part, reason for return, financial responsibility, associated reference numbers, associated purchase orders, status, part location
  • Produces and monitors RMA associated performance metrics.
  • Interacts with customers and repair contacts in relation to RMAs.
  • Protects Strata’s financial interests by accurately determining if repair or replacement is warranty related or customer’s financial responsibility and takes appropriate action to ensure payment has been made or a purchase order is obtained.
  • Works closely with Strata team, customers, and 3rd party repair organizations.
  • Cross training to support warehouse and/ or customer service team as needed or requested.
  • Performs other functions and duties as needed and/or as assigned
Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two years’ experience in customer support administration.
  • Experience with ERP systems similar to Microsoft Navision.

B. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications: Excel and Word.
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision and have the ability to multi task.
  • Must have strong communication skills (written and verbal) and be comfortable engaging in a variety of different communicative modes.
  • Must have high level of professionalism when interacting with internal and external customers.
  • Must have the ability to take initiative on a given task or project and persist with the project to its completion.
  • Must be detail oriented and perform tasks with a high level of accuracy.
  • Must have ability to interpret purchase orders correctly.
  • Working knowledge of Navision Accounting System, tracking products and materials, or experience with a similar system desirable.
  • Must be physically able to perform tasks associated with duties, including walking, standing, physically moving parts, packaging, etc.
Locations: 
Ideal candidate will reside in Pittsburgh, PA area.
Travel Requirements: 
The incumbent may be required to travel as needed to support development projects within the USA. Trips will likely require overnight stay away from home for one or more nights.
Physicial Demands: 
This position requires the ability to perform general physical exertions, including walking, standing, climbing, lifting materials or equipment up to twenty pounds occasionally and up to ten pounds frequently. Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
Work Environment: 
Typical office and warehouse environments.
