Mike Berube

Mike Berube joined Strata Worldwide in early 2010, bringing more than 20 years of experience in business management, sales, and product development. Prior to Strata, he served as Director of Global Data Solutions at Argon ST (now Boeing), where he led a team that won and delivered multiple DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency) programs in wireless communications, wireless networking, and satellite communications. He also helped transition U.S. Government technology into industrial applications, including mining and oil and gas.

Drawing on this blend of management and technical expertise, Mike has been instrumental in developing Strata’s electronic safety products. As President and CEO, he leads the executive team, sets core business strategy, and guides the corporate roadmap for future growth.

David Jenks

Dave Jenks joined Strata in January 2013, bringing with him extensive mining industry operation and financial experience. Prior to joining Strata he served for 16 years at Joy Global as a Corporate Controller and Manager of Commercial Accounting , Global Product Director, Regional Sales and Operations Manager.

In his position at Strata, Jenks is responsible for the overall financial management of the company, its timely financial reporting and transparency, and multiple corporate duties including controllership, treasury, and economic strategy and forecasting

Tom Michaud

Tom Michaud brings a range of expertise to Strata Worldwide, with years of experience in the aerospace industry and extensive software and hardware development skills. Prior to joining Strata in 2010, Tom served in leadership positions such as VP of Engineering for Stellar Satellite Communication, co-founder and VP of Product Development at Skymate, and Director of System Engineering at ORBCOMM. He also headed up the development of flight software for ATK Space Systems. Tom holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in electrical engineering and an MBA. As CTO, Tom is responsible for overseeing all strategic and operational aspects of Strata Worldwide’s electronic offerings.

Dave Hakins

Dave Hakins has been a part of the Strata Worldwide team for over 10 years continuously evolving Strata’s line of Electronic Safety Products. Previously with Argon ST, Dave applied his experience across an array of engineering disciplines to the development of rugged tracking, wireless communication, and diagnostic products for the construction, logistics, oil, and mining industries.

Dave has a BSEE from Lehigh University and MSEE from Virginia Tech. His hands-on career spans a wide array of roles and development of systems used around the globe in space, sea, land, and underground. As CTO, responsible for Strata’s organically developed products, Dave leads Strata’s Electronic Safety engineering team with a passion for product reliability, innovation, and a focus on the customer experience.

Ryan Hawes

Ryan Hawes joined Strata Worldwide as President, Mining Division, in 2026, bringing 20+ years of global leadership in mining technology and operations. He previously served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Hexagon Mining, leading worldwide operations, strategic growth, commercial transformation, and mergers and acquisitions activities.

Most recently, Ryan served as the Chief Executive Officer of Rigid Robotics, where he led the development and commercialization of AI-enabled Smart Shovel and operator-augmentation technologies for mining, and he continues to serve on the company’s Board of Directors. Ryan began his career in mining operations and engineering with Barrick Gold and Teck Resources and is known for building high-performing teams and driving digital transformation. Additionally, he mentors emerging mining and industrial tech companies with the Creative Destruction Lab.

Adam Beauchamp

Adam Beauchamp joined Strata Worldwide as an expert consultant in 2021, with a primary focus on advancing safety in maritime transport and logistics through collision avoidance technologies. Adam is an accomplished global executive with more than two decades of leadership experience driving strategic growth and operational excellence across international markets. Adam is highly experienced in the maritime sector and has led complex business initiatives across North America, Europe, and Latin America throughout his career.

Prior to supporting Strata, Adam spent more than 14 years with APM Terminals, where he directed investment strategy, M&A activities, and growth programs across a worldwide portfolio.

Linda Cantey

Linda Cantey joined Strata in 2022, bringing over 30 years of management consulting and engineering experience. Prior to joining Strata, she founded a private consulting firm in 1999 and led engagements for commercial and government clients in aerospace, defense, telematics, and other industries, employing 35 consultants across the country. Her engineering background includes positions at Ball Aerospace and IBM, and she supported the launches of dozens of satellites for the DoD, ORBCOMM, and IRIDIUM satellite constellations in the 1990s.

Linda has a bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Colorado and has held a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification since 2002

Mike Walling

Mike joined Strata in 2012 and has played a key role in the company’s commercial growth and global expansion. Throughout his tenure, he has led strategic sales initiatives, developed relationships with many of Strata’s largest global customers, and helped expand the company’s international partner and distributor network.

As Senior Vice President of Global Commercial & Strategy, Mike leads Strata’s global commercial strategy, focusing on strategic customer engagement, international business development, market expansion, and the alignment of commercial initiatives across the company’s global operations.

Tony Napier

Tony Napier is an executive-level professional with over 30 years of experience in leading companies to achieve extraordinary results in global mining and tunnelling markets. With a background in communications and electronics, combined with a master’s degree in Business Administration, Tony has a proven track record in developing, implementing and guiding growth strategies in the METS sector. His core areas of expertise are in sales and product management, customer satisfaction, financial management and developing highly capable, empowered teams.

As the Regional General Manager of Mining APAC and Managing Director of Strata's Australian operations, Tony oversees operational planning and implements company strategies into daily operations to achieve overall objectives.

Ian Turner

Ian Turner joined Strata in July 2022 to lead the new European office, based in Germany. With more than 20 years in the industry, Ian is experienced in sales, business development and global marketing and has a demonstrated history of working in high-tech niche markets.

Ian has extensive experience within the underground arena, supplying mixed portfolios of products to the Tunnelling and Maritime markets within the EMEA regions.

Gert Venter

Gert joined Strata Worldwide in 2015 as Field Service Manager for the company’s South African operations. He brings over 25 years of experience in the South African mining industry to his position. He began his career as a learner tradesman in the mining sector, gradually advancing into various supervisory roles at Sasol Mining and BHP Billiton.

Over the years, Gert has gained extensive knowledge and valuable experience in mining safety, collision avoidance system implementation, and business operations. In 2024, he was promoted to General Manager of Strata Worldwide South Africa, where his primary focus is to streamline and enhance Strata’s product development, sales, and distribution across South Africa and the broader African market.

Banzi Giyose

Banzi Giyose is a South African businessman and mining entrepreneur with world-class competencies relating to mining-specific acquisitions, capital raising, and the development of resource studies/exploration across different commodities.

Giyose is co-founder and vice president of BG Global (Pty) Ltd and chairman of BG Global (LLC) New York, USA, and a director of several unlisted firms.

He’s a director of SP Mine Safety (SA) Pty Ltd. (Strata South Africa) and works closely with Strata management to further grow and develop the business across the South African mining markets.

In July 2021, SP Mine Safety officially announced a transaction to bring on BG Safety (Pty) Ltd as its Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) equity partner. BG Safety is an affiliate/subsidiary company of BG Global (Pty) Ltd and SP Mine Safety is the South African entity of Strata Products Worldwide LLC
